Women's Formal Alterations
As we transition to 3 kiddos under the age of 4, starting June 12th, 2022 I will be taking a longer break from sewing. I'm not sure if/when I'll be back to taking appointments but I hope to return at some point when the kiddos are a little older. It is bittersweet but we are so excited for this next chapter!

"Silly pregnant me waited a week before my cousins wedding to try on my bridesmaid dress and it did not fit! Extremely tight in the hips. I didn't know what I was going to do! I contacted Phoebe at Miss Stitch and she was very sweet from the beginning and was able to have my dress done in less than two days! I couldn't believe with how tight the dress was no room to wiggle she was able to let all the seams out and I have tons of room for my hips and my growing belly! My sister first went to her for her prom dress about 3 years ago and she did an amazing job with the alterations especially since there was SO much beading to be worked around on my sisters dress. When my brother got married this past October and we needed alterations on our bridesmaid dresses we chose to use Mrs. Stitch instead of the seamstress where we bought the dresses because we trusted Mrs. Stitch so much more. She not only hemmed our... dresses, but also created straps for our dresses out of the hem; they looked so great, everybody thought that that was how the dresses came! Lastly, she completely saved my mom's Mother of the Groom dress from problems created by the seamstress at the store the dress was purchased. "I dropped my very affordable wedding dress off with Phoebe 2 months before my wedding. I went to see her a couple times. Phoebe is the sweetest. I told her what I wanted and she was definitely able to do it for me. I wanted Phoebe to add more lace, line the front, and remove some sheer cloth from the back and front so there was more skin. It was a success. Phoebe could have done it in no time but I gave her a long time since my wedding my 2 months away and it must have been a easier dress to work with. Had to cancel on her once but she was able to reschedule for the final fitting. It fit perfect. "Finding a great alterations person that you can trust is hard! It was such a relief to find Phoebe - someone with experience, who is personable and great at what she does! I had a bridesmaids dress for a friend's wedding that was huge and needed to be taken in as well as hemmed, so I reached out to Phoebe. I contacted her on a Friday and she met with me on Monday! She was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable before she made any alterations to the dress. Even with a little over a month to get it done, she had it ready in 2 weeks! The dress fit perfect and she even made little changes to the dress to make sure it was comfortable and stayed in place (like changing thread hooks to metal ones for the straps).
